Car Park Services
Car Parks Services operates all the University’s surface and multi-storey car parks. It also provides access control for visitor parking and deliveries across all of the University. Car Parks services also issues permits for car and bicycle parking for University staff and postgraduate students.
Car Parks Services does not provide free parking spaces for students.
All public car parks are available for use by students paying the advertised rates on a daily basis.
The Car Parks Manager is supported by a permit office Administration Officer, a Car Parks Supervisor and a team of parking attendants located around the University.
Services provided
- Day to day management of two multi-storey car parks and six surface car parks.
- Liaison with NCP at the Aquatics Car Park where the University controls several floors reserved for staff parking.
- Access control to many areas of the University including both quadrangles, University Place and The Gatehouse at Sackville Street.
- Provision of car parking permits to staff, contractors, visitors etc.
- Managing the secure bicycle parking facilities and providing pass cards for their use.
- Co-ordinating visitor parking.
