The University sets the standards expected from all staff when managing budgets and expenditure and it is the responsibility of all staff to ensure that the Directorate :

  • ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • demonstrates to external stakeholders that the necessary controls and procedures are in place to ensure that funds are spent wisely.

These principles are embedded in the University's regulatory documents.

These rules are designed to protect the institution and its staff, and to demonstrate that due process has been followed.
