New build, extension and refurbishment

The exciting Manchester Business School Redevelopment Project will create a new hotel, Executive Education Centre and redeveloped School buildings to enable MBS to co-locate on one side of Oxford Road in the strategically important Oxford Road Corridor.

The landmark 19-storey hotel development, will provide high-end accommodation for visitors to the University, its business school and the wider city.

The landmark building, which forms part of developer Bruntwood’s wider redevelopment of Manchester Business School (MBS), will adjoin a new two-storey Executive Education Centre, which will provide a new home for the business school’s corporate leadership and management programmes.

Phase Two plans include the refurbishment of 200,000 sq ft of Manchester Business School to provide significant improvements to its teaching and administrative accommodation, a new Library and Enterprise Zone, the redevelopment of the existing Precinct Centre to create 40,500 sq ft of retail and leisure space, the removal of the link bridge across Oxford Road and public realm improvements such as pavement widening which will enhance the area for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users.
