Hospitality & Events comprises of the following operations:-

Conferences and Venues

The Conferences and Venues Team are responsible for the promoting University building space for events which are then handed across to the Events Team who provide extensive support for clients in the lead up to and during their events. Events are also fully supported by various teams across Estates.

These events take place throughout the year in several venues, including Manchester Meeting Place and the Core Technology Facility. The larger academic conferences for up to 1,000 delegates are accommodated in venues like University Place, with summer residential events in the halls of residence.

FoodOnCampus

This team manage and operate 13 cafes on campus, offering a choice of food and drink, anything from a snack to go or a comfortable place to sit and relax with a coffee and cake, to more substantial meals in our award winning Market at University Place.

FoodInResidence

This team service the catered halls in Residences. This comprises of 9 halls feeding up to 2000 students breakfast and dinner daily 5 or 7 days a week during term time. During the summer vacation FoodInResidence provide hospitality services for residential conferences and events.

HospitalityOnCampus

Deliver hospitality catering across campus from small meetings to large dinners, the team of in house chefs focus on locally sourced seasonal produce. In keeping with the University's wider sustainability goals all catering is served in plastic free packaging.

UrBars

Operate student bars in residences, supporting the Resident Associations in delivering event for residents in Halls.
