Access Control contact list
Before you email accesscontrol@manchester.ac.uk, please read the following fully, it contains important information about specific buildings and the information required for your card to be enabled.
- Please DO NOT email the wrong contact for the access you require, any wrong requests will be deleted without action. For any building NOT listed below, please email accesscontrol@manchester.ac.uk
- You will need to include your full ID number, including the last faint digit, along with the specific areas/buildings you require access to. Any emails without this information will be deleted without action.
- We are unable to copy the access enabled for another member of staff/student to your card. You will need to list the specific areas/building required.
- If you are requesting access for teaching, please note - this is not required. All teaching spaces are open during term time.
- If you have received a new staff/student card, access should automatically transfer from old to new on printing of your new card. This does not apply to the following buildings: AV Hill, Crawford House, Michael Smith and Stopford so you will need to contact the person listed below to update your card manually, it is especially important here that you include the faint digit at the end of your ID number.
- Please note that we do not decide on which members of staff/students can enter buildings or specific areas within those buildings - this decision is made by the departmental users of those buildings and we are unable to override the instructions provided by buildings/building users. These are in place, primarily, for Health & Safety purposes.
NORTH CAMPUS - The majority of North Campus is now locked down. Approval is required from Nick Blades before any access can be granted at North Campus, with the exception of MIB ONLY. The process for access at MIB remains the same, you must visit the reception.
FALLOWFIELD/RESIDENCES - Access is managed locally and can be enabled by visiting the reception desk at Owens Park.
