Hospitality & Events comprises of the following operations:-

Conferences and Venues

This is the University sub-brand for Hospitality and Events. The Conferences and Venues Sales & Marketing team sell University building space for events which are handed to the Events Team who provide extensive support for clients in the lead up to and during their events. The events take place throughout the year and can range from small meetings to academic conferences in excess of 1000 delegates. Venues offered by the Conferences and Venues Sales Team include a dedicated year round conference centre, Chancellors Hotel, University Place, Renold building and other venues within the residences.

Chancellors Hotel & Collection

This 69 bedroom hotel located in Fallowfield and owned by the University delivers conferences and events for up to 125 delegates and guests. The Chancellors team also operate the Chancellors Collection who run a number of high profile eateries for the University including Chrities Bistro. The Collection team manage hospitality and catering for events at Broomcroft and Whitworth Hall.


This team manage and operate 28 cafes on campus, from the small café’s located in schools, to the larger facilities in University Place and Renold Building.


This team service the catered halls in Residences. This comprises of 9 halls feeding up to 2000 students breakfast and dinner daily 5 or 7 days a week during term time. During vacation FoodInResidence provide hospitality services for conferences and events.

Taste Manchester

Deliver hospitality catering across campus from small meetings to large dinners. Taste Manchester are also the main provider of graduation catering on campus.


Operate student bars in residences, supporting the Resident Associations in delivering event for residents in Halls.
