Property Security
A large percentage of property stolen at the University is targeted because it has been left unattended in public/insecure areas.
The areas in question include
- libraries
- cafes
- lecture theatres
- computer clusters
- halls of residence
To try and address this crime problem a number of initiatives have been introduced and will run throughout the academic year.
The simple message is; if students and staff look after their own belongings, a large proportion of these crimes can be prevented.
