Recycling of small electrical and electronic items
A trail for collecting small electrical and electronic items for recycling started in January 2026 in the MECD cluster of buildings.
Labs/workshops were provided with a 30L pink caddy (see image to right of page). When these require emptying, the caddy is collected, emptied and returned by House Services on request. See here for relevant contact details in each building.
Items will be recycled along with other electrical waste collected across campus as per existing processes – see here
Please see the guidance in the “Useful documents” box outlining what can/can’t go into these caddies. Please DO NOT place any batteries in these containers (please see the Waste A-Z for advice on battery disposal).
